Resistance Wire

A 1.3-1.4 ohm resistance wire is provided in the Red wire (ignition) circuit to reduce battery voltage to coil. The resistance wire is by-passed during starting, so that full battery voltage may be applied to coil. The by-pass is accomplished through "I" terminal of starter solenoid.
