Resistance Wire

A 1.3-1.4 ohms resistance wire is provided in the Red wire (ignition) circuit to reduce battery voltage to the coil. The resistance wire is by-passed during starting, so that full battery voltage may be applied to the coil. The by-pass is accomplished through the "I" terminal of the starter solenoid.
