Ignition Coil

The oil-filled coil contains a primary and secondary circuit. The basic function is to convert battery voltage, supplied to the primary circuit, into high voltage (up to 30,000 volts) to fire the spark plugs.

The coil has positive and negative primary terminals. The single secondary terminal conducts positive current only. The coil primary terminal connection is made with a special plastic adapter.
