- Using a 12-volt test lamp, connect one end of lamp to ground and probe Red wire of tailgate window switch. If lamp does not light, repair feed circuit. If lamp lights, probe Tan wire.
- Turn tailgate switch to "DOWN" position. If lamp does not light, replace switch. If lamp lights, probe Brown wire. Turn tailgate switch to "UP" position. If lamp does not light, replace switch. If lamp lights, check tailgate window safety switch
