Alternator - PARIS-RHONE: Description
Alternating current is generated by the stator as the stator rotates. The rectifier bridge changes the alternating current to direct current. The amount of D.C. voltage produced by the alternator is controlled by the solid state regulator. When the alternator output voltage is low, the regulator increases the current flowing through the field. This increases the alternator's output voltage at terminal "B". Field current is supplied directly from the stators output through the diode trio.
