Resistance Wire

A wire with 1.3-1.4 ohms resistance is provided in the red wire (engine running) circuit to supply less than battery voltage to the coil. This resistance wire is bypassed during starting so that full battery voltage may be applied to the coil. The by-pass is accomplished through the "I" terminal of the starter solenoid.
