Ignition Coil

Coils are oil-filled and, sealed and contain a primary and secondary circuit. As in any system, the coil's basic function is to convert battery voltage applied to the primary circuit into high secondary voltage for firing the spark plugs. The coil has positive and negative primary terminals and a single secondary terminal. A special coil connector slides over the primary terminals.
