DTC B1539-53: Electrically Deployable Tow Bar Locking Motor - Deactivated: Action

NOTE: The outputs on the TBCM can only be reactivated twice. If an output has been deactivated three times, the module will have to be replaced to restore functionality.

Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s) and check the deployable towbar locking motor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - Enable Protected Outputs (0x205E). Clear the DTCs and retest
Check the deployable towbar mechanism for obstructions and debris. Check that the trailer socket can be moved upwards with minimal resistance. Rectify as necessary
