DTC P1707-77: Transfer Case Neutral or Park/Neutral Indication Circuit - Commanded position not reachable: Action

NOTE: This DTC may be set following a valid emergency electronic park release operation. Establish if the emergency electronic park release has been activated on this vehicle

Prioritized steps to perform:
Check the emergency electronic park release procedure is not activated. Rectify as necessary
Check the integrity of the parklock mechanism. Rectify as necessary
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs
Start the vehicle and allow to reach normal operating temperature while engaging and disengaging Park with the gear selector several times
If fault persists, check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 8-speed ZF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application
Refer to the appropriate Service Information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality. If the condition is unsatisfactory, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
Clear DTCs and retest
If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
