DTC B1968-13: Lower Front Display Screen - Circuit open: Action

  1. Check that the interactive control display module is working, if the interactive control display module is working go to step  14. If there is no function go to step 2
  2. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202) and read the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). If the DTC is set go to step 3, if the DTC is no longer set go to step  14
  3. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and disconnect the front display cable from the front infotainment control module and the interactive control display module
  4. Measure the resistance between pin 1 of the front infotainment control module and pin 4 of the interactive control display module
  5. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 6
  6. Measure the resistance between pin 2 of the front infotainment control module and pin 3 of the interactive control display module
  7. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 8
  8. Measure the resistance between pin 3 of the front infotainment control module and pin 2 of the interactive control display module
  9. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 10
  10. Measure the resistance between pin 4 of the front infotainment control module and pin 1 of the interactive control display module
  11. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 12
  12. Reconnect the cable back to the front infotainment control module and the interactive control display module. Check the front infotainment control module software release notes to see if a repair is available and update the front infotainment control module and repeat step  2. If no software update is available go to step 13
  13. Check the interactive control display module for any internal failure Diagnostic Trouble Code(s)
  14. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) relating to the customer concern and follow the DTC index
