DTC C200B-01: Steering Shaft Torque Sensor 1 - General electrical failure: Action

WARNING: Do not replace the steering gear for this Diagnostic Trouble Code

NOTE: The torque sensor configuration is dual channel and connected to the primary and secondary controllers. The primary network is controlled by Flexray. The secondary network is controlled by CAN. If this Diagnostic Trouble Code is stored, it is because of a failure on a single channel. The vehicle will still have power steering assistance

Check the torque sensor harness connector for damage, corrosion or damaged pins. Repair/replace any pins or connectors as necessary and retest
The torque sensor is integrated in the steering gear. If this is the only Diagnostic Trouble Code that is set, do not replace the steering gear
