Overuse Protection

If the deployable towbar is operated for more than 20 times in one hour, further operation will be inhibited once the deployable towbar has reached the deployed position. When this occurs, the LED will flash briefly if the deployable towbar switch is pressed.

It is safe to tow with the towbar in the inhibited condition.

The deployable towbar will become operational again after a period of 90 minutes, irrespective of if the vehicle is used or not. No further action is required and normal operation is restored.
