Symptom 000101 Diagnostic Concerns

Retailers have reported concerns accessing the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Level Check application within Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD).

When in an active SDD session, the DEF Level Check application can be accessed easily and quickly by completing the following steps:

Select 'Service Functions'
Scroll to 'Powertrain'
Select 'Run' to launch the 'DEF Level Check application'

The application will read the current DEF level and display the DEF required to top-up the tank if required. On screen instructions will guide the SDD user through the top-up process. The SDD user can then use the application to recheck the DEF level and confirm the correct amount of fluid is present in the vehicle.
