Air Conditioning: Overview

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2012 Jaguar XFR, 2012 Jaguar XF, 2011 Jaguar XFR, 2011 Jaguar XF, and 2010 Jaguar XFR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The air conditioning (A/C) system transfers heat from the passenger compartment to the outside atmosphere to provide the heater assembly with dehumidified cold air. It is a sealed, closed loop system filled with a charge weight of R134a refrigerant as the heat transfer medium. Oil is added to the refrigerant to lubricate the internal components of the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.
