4.35.1 Description

The engine off timer monitor compares the ECM's own internal counter to the change in the engine coolant temperature since the ignition was turned off. If the two differ by more than a calibratable period of time a failure is registered. If the fault occurs on 2 drive cycles the MIL will illuminate.
