Radiator Backflushing

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2006 Jaguar XKR, 2006 Jaguar XK8, 2005 Jaguar XKR, 2005 Jaguar XK8, and 2004 Jaguar XKR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator - Removal and Installation (Vehicles Without: Supercharger)  or Radiator - Removal and Installation (Vehicles With: Supercharger) .
  2. Invert the radiator.
  3. Connect a suitable hose pipe to the lower coolant hose connection of the radiator.
  4. Turn the water supply valve to the hose ON and allow water pressure to flow through the radiator.
  5. Allow water pressure to flow through the radiator for approximately five minutes.
  6. Turn the water supply valve to the hose OFF and disconnect the hose pipe from the radiator.
  7. Allow the coolant to drain from the radiator.
  8. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator - Removal and Installation (Vehicles Without: Supercharger)  or Radiator - Removal and Installation (Vehicles With: Supercharger) .
