Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor: Removal

  1. Open the engine compartment and fit paintwork protection sheets.
    2. WARNING: ENSURE THAT THE ENGINE IS COLD BEFORE COMMENCING WORK.

  2. Slacken the coolant reservoir cap to relieve coolant pressure and re-tighten.
  3. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
    • Disconnect the harness plug from the sensor. (1)
    • Remove the sensor and sealing washer. (2)
