Selector Lever Switch: Removal

  1. Remove the battery cover and disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the gear shift knob. See TRANSMISSION SELECTOR LEVER KNOB .
  3. Remove the console finisher veneer panel. See FLOOR CONSOLE FINISH PANEL for 2001 or FLOOR CONSOLE FINISH PANEL for 2002-03.
  4. Remove the J-gate surround. See SELECTOR LEVER GATE FINISH PANEL .
  5. Remove the D to 4 switch.
    • Press the retaining tangs to release.
