Differentials & Drive Axles: Overhaul
NOTE:
Differential overhaul information is not available from manufacturer. On S-Type models, the pinion and output oil seals, the companion flange and nut, and the output bearing are the only serviceable components. On XJR, XJ8, XKR and XK8 models, serviceable differential components are limited to the pinion flange/seal assembly, pinion flange nut, output shaft bearing "O" ring, output shaft bearing circlip, output shaft bearing and output shaft. On all models, for all other differential component failures manufacturer recommends replacement of differential assembly.
