Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) index

DTC Description Possible Source Action
P0566 Speed control CANCEL  switch ON fault
  • Speed control switches internal steering wheel circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • Steering wheel clockspring: short circuit to GROUND
  • Cassette reel to ECM circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • CANCEL  switch failure (stuck ON)
For speed control switch circuit tests, Refer to Pinpoint Test B .
P0567 Speed control RESUME  switch ON fault
  • Speed control switches internal steering wheel circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • Steering wheel clockspring: short circuit to GROUND
  • Cassette reel to ECM circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • RESUME  switch failure (stuck ON)
For speed control switch circuit tests, Refer to Pinpoint Test B .
P0568 Speed control input signal low/high resistance
  • Speed control switches internal steering wheel circuit: open circuit, high resistance
  • Steering wheel clockspring: open circuit, high resistance
  • Cassette reel to ECM circuit: open circuit, high resistance
For speed control switch input signal tests, Refer to Pinpoint Test C .
P0569 Speed control Decel -  switch ON fault
  • Speed control switches internal steering wheel circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • Steering wheel clockspring: short circuit to GROUND
  • Cassette reel to ECM circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • Decel -  switch failure
For speed control switch circuit tests, Refer to Pinpoint Test B .
P0570 Speed control SET/+  switch ON fault
  • Speed control switches internal steering wheel circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • Steering wheel clockspring: short circuit to GROUND
  • Cassette reel to ECM circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • SET/+  switch failure (stuck ON)
For speed control switch circuit tests, Refer to Pinpoint Test B .
P1571 Brake ON/OFF  switch; brake cancel switch malfunction. (Note; Brake ON/OFF switch - normally open; brake cancel switch - normally closed)
  • Brake ON/OFF switch to stop lamp relay circuit: open circuit
  • Stop lamp relay to ECM circuit: open circuit, short circuit to GROUND, high resistance
  • Brake ON/OFF  switch ignition switched GROUND circuit: open circuit
  • Brake ON/OFF  switch failure
  • Brake CANCEL  switch to ECM circuit: open circuit, short circuit to GROUND, high resistance
  • Brake CANCEL  switch power supply circuit: open circuit
  • Brake CANCEL  switch failure
For brake switch circuit tests, Refer to Anti-Lock Control - Stability Assist . For brake cancel switch circuit tests, refer to Pinpoint Test D .
P1696* CAN ECM/ASCCM network malfunction
  • CAN open circuit fault, ASCCM to ECM
  • CAN short circuit fault
  • ASCCM failure
  • ECM failure
*This is the adaptive speed control main DTC. If this DTC is not flagged, the fault is NOT  with the adaptive system. For additional information on CAN diagnostics, refer to Communications Network .
P1697 Adaptive speed control HEADWAY  switch(es) circuit malfunction
  • Speed control switches internal steering wheel circuit: short circuit to GROUND,
  • Steering wheel clockspring: short circuit to GROUND
  • Cassette reel to ECM circuit: short circuit to GROUND
  • HEADWAY  switch(es) failure (stuck ON)
For HEADWAY switch circuit tests, refer to Pinpoint Test E .
C1291 Forward Looking Radar (FLR) sensor temperature out of range
  • FLR sensor is too warm or too cold
  • ASCCM failure
Allow the FLR sensor to warm up or cool down.
Contact dealer technical support for advice on possible ASCCM failure.
C1292 FLR sensor blockage detection FLR sensor is blocked Remove any blockages (snow/leaves etc.) from the FLR sensor.
C1293 FLR sensor automatic alignment offset angle out of range
  • Sensor requires mechanical levelling
  • FLR sensor is in service alignment mode
Check module levelling. See Speed Control Module Alignment .
Complete service alignment. Refer to the Jaguar approved diagnostic system.
C1294 Active speed or vehicle speed out of range
  • Speed related fault with the ECM, TCM, DSCM, or IC modules
  • ASCCM failure
Carry out a full vehicle DTC check. Check the ECM, TCM, DSCM, or IC modules for stored codes.
Contact dealer technical support for advice on possible ASCCM failure.
C1459 Forward alert switch circuit failure
  • Forward alert switch to ASCCM circuit short circuit to B+
  • Forward alert switch to ASCCM circuit open circuit
  • Forward alert switch failure
For forward alert switch circuit tests, refer to Pinpoint Test A .
C1748 Forward alert switch circuit short to GROUND
  • Forward alert switch failure
  • Forward alert switch to ASCCM circuit short circuit to GROUND
For forward alert switch circuit tests, refer to Pinpoint Test A .
C1935 Chime circuit failure
  • Chime circuit short to B+ or open circuit
For adaptive speed control chime module circuit tests, refer to Pinpoint Test F .
B1342 FLR internal sensor fault
  • FLR sensor failure
Contact dealer technical support for advice on possible ASCCM failure.
B2369 Chime output circuit short to GROUND
  • Chime output circuit short to GROUND
For adaptive speed control chime module circuit tests, refer to Pinpoint Test F .
B2477 Module configuration failure
  • ASCCM is not correctly configured
Configure the ASCCM. Refer to the Jaguar approved diagnostic system.
U2023 CAN fault message received from other network modules
  • CAN/ASSCM related fault with the ECM, TCM, DSCM, or IC modules
  • ASCCM internal CAN fault
  • CAN network fault
Carry out a full vehicle DTC check. Check the ECM, TCM, DSCM, or IC modules for stored ACC related codes.

U2501 CAN ECM "token" missing
  • CAN ECM "token" missing on network (other CAN modules also flag ECM "token" missing fault)
  • ECM/CAN fault
For CAN circuit tests, Refer to Communications Network .
U2502 CAN TCM "token" missing
  • CAN TCM "token" missing on network (other CAN modules also flag TCM "token" missing fault)
  • TCM/CAN fault
For CAN circuit tests, Refer to Communications Network .
U2503 CAN IC "token" missing
  • CAN IC "token" missing on network (other CAN modules also flag IC "token" missing fault)
  • IC/CAN fault

U2504 CAN ABS "token" missing
  • CAN ABS "token" missing on network (other CAN modules also flag ABS "token" missing fault)
  • ABS/CAN fault

U2505 CAN TCM message missing
  • TCM CAN DTC Flagged
For CAN circuit tests, Refer to Communications Network .
U2520 CAN IC missing
  • IC CAN circuit short to B+, open circuit, short circuit to ground

U2521 CAN DSCM missing
  • DSCM CAN circuit short to B+, open circuit, short circuit to ground
For CAN circuit tests, Refer to Communications Network .
U2522 CAN TCM missing
  • TCM CAN circuit short to B+, open circuit, short circuit to ground
For CAN circuit tests, Refer to Communications Network .
U2523 CAN ECM missing
  • ECM CAN circuit short to B+, open circuit, short circuit to ground

U2516 CAN network fault
  • Can network circuit fault
