Code 74

Left rear speed sensor failure. ABS ECU recognized speed sensor failure by pressure reduction and wheel response monitoring with vehicle speed less than 25 MPH. Failure can be caused by long-term detection of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). Check speed sensor ground wire and ABS ECU ground circuit.

NOTE: On ABS Codes 75, 76, 77 or 78, if repairs fail to remedy problem, perform repair procedures for ABS Codes 35, 36, 37 or 38 respectively. For example, if Code 75 fails to repair vehicle, perform repair for Code 35. See HIGH PRIORITY ABS  CODES.
