Draining & Refilling: XJS

  1. Remove vacuum modulator clamp and bolt. Disconnect modulator, remove modulator and drain oil. Remove oil pan bolts, carefully lower pan and drain remaining oil. Remove oil filter bolt and filter.
  2. Install new oil filter. Clean and install oil pan using a new gasket. Tighten oil pan bolts. Install and connect modulator. Install clamp, and tighten bolt. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article. Add transmission fluid, and check level.
