KICKDOWN Switch: XJS

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure 12 volts exist at input terminal of kickdown switch (Green cable). Connect grounded test light to output terminal (Green/White) of switch. See Fig 1 .
  2. Fully depress throttle pedal. If test light fails to illuminate, release throttle pedal and gently depress switch arm. If test light still fails to illuminate, replace switch.
  3. If test light illuminates when switch arm is depressed, loosen securing bolts and move switch toward cable until test light illuminates at full throttle opening. Tighten securing bolts, and recheck adjustment.
