Differentials & Drive Axles: Description

Differential assembly uses hypoid-type gears with stub axles and axle shafts. XJS models use limited slip differentials. XJ6 models may be equipped with limited slip or conventional differentials. Limited slip differential is identified by a tag stamped with the letters PL. Identification tag is bolted to differential housing cover.
