Computerized Engine Controls: XJ6

The XJ6 has one Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to control fuel injection and ignition systems. The ECU maintains optimum engine performance under any operating condition by metering fuel delivery into each cylinder and adjusting ignition timing. All system control functions are controlled by the microprocessor in the ECU, which receives information from various sensors located on and around the engine. System is equipped with a Limp Home mode to permit continued engine operation in the event of certain sensor failures.
