Electronic Control Unit (Ecu)
ECU on XJS models is located inside the trunk, on the right side, behind trim panel.
On XJ6 models, ECU is located under the dash, on the passenger's side.
ECU's main function is to ensure optimum engine performance. ECU uses signals received from driver's controls and various sensor inputs to control engine performance.
NOTE:
Components are grouped into 2 categories. The first category covers INPUT DEVICES, which control or produce voltage signals monitored by the ECU. The second category covers OUTPUT SIGNALS, which are components controlled by the ECU.
