Checking Fluid Level

  1. Park vehicle on level ground. Apply hand brake and run engine at 750 RPM for several minutes. Place selector lever in all ranges and return to "P" position.
  2. With engine idling, withdraw and wipe off dipstick. Replace dipstick in filler tube, withdraw it and check fluid level. If necessary, add fluid to reach "MAX" level on "COLD" side of dipstick. After adding fluid, ensure overfilling has not occurred.
