Preliminary Checks

  1. Ensure battery is fully charged and alternator drive belt is properly adjusted. Never disconnect battery, alternator or regulator with engine running.
  2. Do not ground field winding (terminal EX), connected to regulator by Green wire. Always disconnect battery, if alternator is to be removed or installed,.
