Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
  2. Push down the fuel level sensor pigtail electrical connector retainer (1) and remove the connector from the module cover.
  3. Remove the fuel level sensor pigtail wires from behind the retainer (2) on the bucket.

  5. Push in the fuel level sensor retainer (1) on the bucket.

    IMPORTANT: Note the orientation of the fuel level sensor float during removal.
  7. Slide down the fuel level sensor and remove the sensor from the bucket.
