Miscellaneous Tests: Notes

This test consists of eight menus:

Lights
Relays
EVAP
Fuel System
Instruments
EGR Control
Variable Intake Manifold Solenoid
Injector Balance Tests

Testing is carried out with TECH 2 scan tool, or equivalent. Scan tool sends operating signals to confirm output operation, confirming normal operation. Testing is useful to detect intermittent problems use scan tool to:

Confirm DTC freeze frame data, and match freeze frame data as test conditions with data list displayed by miscellaneous test.
Confirm DTC setting conditions, and match setting conditions as test conditions with data list displayed by miscellaneous test.
