Conditions For Setting DTC
Following conditions must be met for DTC diagnostic test to run:
- Engine is running.
- No Throttle Position (TP) sensor and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor DTCs are set.
- No MAF frequency DTCs are set.
- System voltage is between 11.5 and 16.0 volts.
- The barometric pressure has been measured within the last 3 minutes.
- Engine speed is between 650 RPM and 4000 RPM.
- Engine coolant temperature is above 86°F (30°C).
- No change in A/C clutch or TCC status.
- Throttle position is steady, changing less than 5%.
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) value is steady, changing less than 5kPa.
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) flow rate is steady, changing less than 5 percent.
- Idle air flow rate is steady, changing less than 5 percent.
- The absolute value of the difference for actual Mass Air Flow (MAF) value and expected MAF value is more than high threshold value, or less than low threshold value for 5 seconds.
