SERVICE INFORMATION
NOTE:
This bulletin has been revised to include Rodeo and Rodeo Sport models. This bulletin also includes updated service information.
- Some Isuzu vehicles come equipped with a Convenience-Starting feature.
- With the Convenience-Starting feature, there is no need to hold the ignition switch in the START position. When releasing the ignition switch, it returns to the ON position and engine cranking (starter motor operation) continues until the engine starts. The starter motor operation stops when the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position. If the engine does not start within a reasonable time, up to 20 seconds, the starter motor will automatically stop cranking the engine (maximum cranking time is determined by engine coolant temperature).
- The Convenience-Starting feature is designed, as a convenience for the vehicle owner and no repairs should be attempted.
NOTE:
The Convenience-Starting feature is NOT available on Rodeo and Rodeo Sport vehicles equipped with 2.2L engines.
