Power Steering Pump: Removal

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2. Place a drain pan below the pump.
  3. Remove the air cleaner duct (1) and the radiator upper hose (2).

  4. Remove the drive belt.
  5. Remove the pulley from the power steering pump.
  6. Disconnect the suction hose.
  7. Disconnect the flexible hose.
  8. Remove the power steering pump fixing bolt.
  9. Remove the pump assembly.
CAUTION: When removing the pump assembly, be careful not to damage the wiring harness under the pump housing.
