Self-Diagnostic System

SRS includes a self-diagnostic function that checks system for faults in SRS components and related wiring. When ignition is turned on, AIR BAG warning light should flash 7 times and then turn off. A fault exists if AIR BAG warning light does not come on when ignition is turned on, stays on after initial 7 flashes, or comes on while vehicle is driven. See Figure.
