Automatic Locking Hubs With Shift-On-The-Fly System

Hubs can be engaged (locked) by shifting transfer case from 2H to 4H while driving at less than 60 MPH without pressing clutch pedal. Hubs are engaged using a vacuum controlled servo mounted on front axle housing. Vehicle speed must be reduced and clutch pedal depressed when shifting from 4H to 4L.
