Master Cylinder
- Set parking brake completely. Clean master cylinder cap and surrounding area, and then remove cap. Fill master cylinder, keeping fluid level at least half full during bleeding procedure. Start engine and allow it to idle.NOTE: Check fluid level in master cylinder frequently during bleeding procedure. Do not allow brake fluid in the reservoir to go below the halfway mark.
- Disconnect rear wheel brakeline from master cylinder (line furthest from brake booster). Depress brake pedal once slowly and hold depressed. Seal open delivery port on master cylinder with finger and release brake pedal. Remove finger when brake pedal returns completely. Repeat procedure until brake fluid flows from delivery port.
- Reconnect brakeline to master cylinder. Depress brake pedal once slowly and hold depressed. Loosen rear wheel brakeline at master cylinder to allow air to escape. Tighten brakeline and release brake pedal slowly. Repeat procedure until air bubbles are no longer present. Repeat entire procedure for front wheel brakeline, and then bleed calipers. See CALIPERS .
