DTC P0125: ECT Excessive Time To Reach Closed Loop: Notes

While engine is warming, Vehicle Control Module (VCM) reads Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor to determine how long it takes coolant to reach temperature required for closed loop operation. VCM compares actual time required to a predetermined time.

Conditions required to set DTC are:

• Engine running.
• No ECT or IAT DTCs are set.
• ECT and IAT greater than -40°F (-40°C).
• Start-up ECT is greater than -40°F (-40°C).
