Description & Operation

NOTE: This article also applies to Acura SLX and Honda Passport. For Acura SLX, refer to Trooper unless specified otherwise. For Honda Passport, refer to Rodeo unless specified otherwise.
NOTE: Hombre information was not available from manufacturer at time of publication. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.

Mirror positions can be adjusted with ignition switch in ON or ACC position. Using mirror control switch, driver-side mirror or passenger-side mirror can be adjusted. Each mirror assembly contains a motor to allow horizontal and vertical adjustment of mirror angles. Rodeo, Trooper and VehiCROSS are equipped with an electrically-heated mirror defogger, which will only operate with ignition in ON position.

On Trooper, mirrors have a power folding feature. When activated, this folding feature rotates mirror assemblies inward, to prevent mirror damage when additional vehicle side clearance is required. When folding switch is deactivated, mirror assemblies will return to previously set positions.
