5-Pin Relay

  1. Remove relay from engine compartment fuse/relay block. Check continuity between terminals No. 3 and 5. See Fig 1 . Continuity should exist. Check continuity between terminals No. 1 and 5. Continuity should not exist.
  2. Apply battery voltage between terminals No. 2 and 4. Ensure continuity does not exist between terminals No. 3 and 5 with voltage applied. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 5 with voltage applied. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
