Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable and IAC electrical connector. Remove hold-down bolts and IAC valve from throttle body.
  2. Using carburetor cleaner, clean IAC valve "O" ring sealing surface, pintle valve seat and air passage.
  3. When installing new IAC, inspect IAC valve "O" ring and check distance between tip of pintle and mounting flange. If measurement is greater than 1.1" (28 mm), apply finger pressure and retract valve to 1.1" (28 mm). To install, reverse removal procedure and tighten bolts to specification.
