Removal & Installation (2.2L Amigo, Rodeo & Passport)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove gas cap. Drain fuel tank by removing fuel from filler neck. Remove fuel pump relay. See FUEL PUMP RELAY .
  2. Disconnect fuel tank wiring connectors and evaporative hoses. Remove fuel filler hose. Remove fuel pressure and return lines. Remove fuel tank. Using Fuel Pump Remover (J-39763 ) twist fuel pump counterclockwise to release from fuel tank. Lift fuel pump from fuel tank. To install, reverse removal procedure.
