DTC 14: Abnormal EHCU Function

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect EHCU harness connectors. Inspect EHCU ground circuit and repair as necessary. Using DVOM, check for continuity between ground and EHCU 16-pin harness connector terminal No. 7 and ECHU 2-pin harness connector terminal No. 2 (Black wires). If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair body ground harness.
  2. Turn ignition off. Reconnect EHCU harness connector. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. Turn ignition on. Perform system self-check. See ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM SELF-CHECK under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If ABS warning light remains illuminated, retrieve DTCs. If DTC 14 returns, replace EHCU. If any DTC other than DTC 14 is present, perform appropriate diagnostic test.
