Test D: Driver Or Passenger Slide Function Inoperative

  1. Test appropriate tilt and slide switches (passenger-side slide switch). See POWER SEAT SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switches test okay, go to next step. If switches are faulty, repair as necessary. Retest system.
  2. Test appropriate slide motor. See POWER SEAT MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS. If motor tests okay, go to next step. If motor is faulty, repair as necessary. Retest system.
  3. Repair open or short in wire harness between appropriate power seat switch and slide motor. Retest system.
