Bench Testing: Stator

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity across stator coil leads. If continuity does not exist, replace stator coils.
  2. Measure resistance across coil, reading should be about .07 ohm at 68°F (20°C). If reading is not as specified, replace stator.
  3. Connect ohmmeter between stator core and each stator coil lead. If continuity exists, replace stator coils.
