Symptom Diagnosis

Symptom checks cannot be used properly unless problem occurs while vehicle is being tested. To reduce diagnostic time, ensure Basic Diagnostic Procedures in the BASIC TESTING article and Self-Diagnostics steps in the TESTS W/CODES article have been performed before diagnosing a symptom. Trouble shoot symptom probable causes listed under symptoms in order listed until symptom is eliminated. Symptoms available for diagnosis include:
- Engine Will Not Start
- Hard To Start
- Cold Fast Idle Too Low
- Cold Fast Idle Too High
- Idle RPM Fluctuates
- Misfire Or Rough Operation
- Lack Of Power
- Engine Stalls
