Removal & Installation

  1. Remove negative battery cable. Remove gas cap. Drain fuel tank by removing fuel tank drain plug. Replace fuel tank drain plug.
  2. Disconnect fuel tank wiring connectors and evaporative hoses. Remove fuel filler hose. Remove fuel pressure and return lines. Remove fuel tank. Remove sending unit screws and fuel pump.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten sending unit screws. Ensure fuel tank drain plug is tightened to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
