Solenoid Return Test

  1. Connect negative battery lead to terminal "S" and ground. See Fig 1 . Connect battery positive lead to terminal "M". Pinion should extend.
  2. Disconnect lead at terminal "S". Pinion should immediately return to stationary position. If pinion does not return to stationary position, replace solenoid.
