Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove fuel tank access panel in luggage compartment. Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit 3-pin connector. Use Fuel Sender Wrench (07NAC-SR20100) or remove 5 nuts to remove fuel gauge sending unit.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between fuel gauge sending unit terminals "A" and "B" with sending unit float held at empty (down), half-full (middle) and full (up) positions. SeeFig 1 . Compare readings with FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS  . If resistance values are not as specified, replace fuel gauge sending unit.
