Ignition Switch Test
If ignition switch is suspected of being faulty, disconnect harness connector from switch. Turn key to START position. Using a voltmeter, ensure presence of 9.6 volts at purple wire terminal. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between specified switch terminals. See Fig 1 . If continuity is not as specified, replace ignition switch.
