Power Steering Pump: Reassembly

To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Install rotor, cam ring and vane respectively. Ensure tiny square Black mark on rotor faces upward. Align cam ring holes with body slots. Turn side of cam ring with clearance around dowel, facing upward. Ensure rounded end of vane matches cam ring inner surface. Tighten end cover bolt and hose connector fitting to 40 ft. lbs. (54 N.m).

To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure using NEW "O" rings and seals. Install rotor with punch mark facing front. Install vanes into cam with curved edges inward. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
